I currently have a Network attached hard disk which I use for backing up my photo's and other important stuff from my family's pc's.
The problem is that as my photo collection grows it takes longer and longer to backup.
I think it's because the drive only has a 10/100 Mbps ethernet port, because when I use the USB connection it's a lot faster.
My home network runs on a Gigabit switch so I'm looking for a Networked Hard Drive that has a built-in Gigabit ethernet port.
I'd prefer one that is IDE and let's you fit your own hard disk, but I'm open. The only one I've found so far is this for £107. http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=4FPBhttp://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=4FPB
But I don't think I'd be able to fit my own drive.
