We have purple/lilac glittery paint in our bedroom and living room, I bought a big tub of magnolia and a load of poster paint and mixed it up to what colour I wanted and then mixed a big pot of glitter in. I seperated the magnolia in half to mix the colour and glitter the put both halves into a big tub and mixed it all together.

It is time consuming and a pain in the butt to do but I painted to largish rooms for around £12 in all

B&Q do valspar paint which is really durable & you can get it in any colour you like. Plus for extra cost you can have gold or silver glitter added to it. I've got some of the paint & its brilliant, you can scrub & scrub marks off & the paint won't budge.

You add the glitter to the paint when you're doing the final coat.

I have just bought a 1000g packet of silver glitter that you add to any paint of your choice on a website called Victoria street. They have a huge range of different colours at different prices but mine worked out much cheaper than the b&q valspar stuff. Hope this helps!!

Hello, I was wondering what paint did you mix your glitter into? And which one did you go for? I was thinking about getting the holographic silver and mixing it with white paint?

Hi please carefully think about this before doing. I joined an amazing group on fb with the ideas of doing this. I love anything sparkly and this suited me perfectly. Did the whole prep, paint then glitter mix. Looked amazing but after a while it went awful (around 6 months). It was quite scratchy to touch or brush against and as for removing it! Completely ruined my walls. Started first by sandpapering it, tried scrapping it. Tried everything. Took me two days and in the end we had to wallpaper over it. I honestly wished i had never bothered, definitely recommend buying glittery wallpaper instead.
