Ok so my first tip is to not use the Severn bridge on the way down, come off onto the m50 and drive through to Cardiff on the A roads which eventually go back onto the M4 at Newport anyway, it'll save you the toll (£6.40) and it's quicker. On the way back using the bridge is free and it may be a bit more straight forward, I know that sounds strange but traffic going into Wales is usually more congested than that leaving Wales, especially with queues at the tolls, I've been stuck at the tolls for 30 minutes+ on more than one occasion.

Had a quick look on hotels.com and there's only one hotel 'Novotel' that available on the 12th, but that's £199 and there's a premier inn on 11th for £115 I think. I don't know what dates you are staying, so if you reply I can have a better look. Also will you consider driving on the day of the supercup, just trying to work out if its worth suggesting places a little further away that will be cheaper but you could drive in and park and ride for example, or do you want to have a few drinks and just walk or catch public transport?
