First what is the difference between the golf's, don't mention the GTI as I can't afford it. The match has Audio controls on the wheel which I want, but don't know which are the best models and what they mean, trust me I looked.
Low miles, full dealer history, cam belt done if needed. But be immaculate inside and out.
No red cars, unless it's candy apple red.
I have 5000 cash in my pocket for a good deal
2.0 56 plate tdci climate for part ex.
If you know anyone or family or friends who are dealers, please let me know.
I live in Cardiff, but will travel a reasonable distance.
Kind regards. Simon
PS would prefer a golf speaking to a mechanic who will be joining me, he says they are amazing cars to work on and cheap parts.
No red cars, unless it's metallic candy apple red.

You could add a Seat Leon to your list (its a Golf underneath ) and you would probably get a year or two younger one for your money .

Volkswagen are cheap parts?? That really does surprise me, Ford Focuses are well designed and made and parts should be cheaper than VW.
#3
Dacia could get a pre reg for that I mean it is not as nice but new car is a win for me
#5
Get that but pre reg 66 or 17

are you looking for advise on which to choose from the above or looking for people to find you one of the cars listed above?

With rogparki saying add a seat to the list, you can also add fabias as well.

Serious my tdci turbo is gone and it's a write off as 2 mechanics, one who is a friend is saying you need to take the engine apart, clean the lines ect. Also it's got a dual mass clutch. But again it's a 56 lol. I'm just going on what 2 mechanics said, there are so many golf's on the roads, parts are readily available and cheap. Just going on other peoples advice ha ha

That's an idea, bluetooth, dab ect. Do they drive like tanks though?
Never thought of a dacia thanks dude.

Most of family have them very good decent cars something to consider

Dacia are terrible. Its a cheaply built renault and renault are cheap garbage anyway. Focus for that price will have its best years behind it. Get the golf or the seat good build quality. Cam belts are usually 4-5 yr on those tho so check it has been done

Can't believe people still recommend VAG cars after all the madness surrounding the emissions scandal and aftermath. Blind loyalty.

90% of new cars have dual mass flywheels.

Golfs are good but not without fault, They have dual mass flywheels too ;).

you can say that about any of the car makers in recent years, there certainly are worse cases of brand loyalty out there outside of cars.

Do give examples - bear in mind that VAG are one of the largest in the world.

well Toyota is the biggest and their cars "killed" people as recently as 2009/2011 because of faulty accelerators , people still bought the cars, GM third biggest in the world again more deaths through ignition fires, Honda yet more deaths due to airbags. all in the top 5 car makers worldwide, plenty more stories like those or other major recalls but VAG no deaths at least not that google is showing.

Depends where you get your stats I guess, a lot of sites report VAG are the biggest.
Toyota had their issues, predominantly with the Corolla which they latterly shelved to distance themselves from their issues, also upping their warranty at the same time.
The airbags you're talking about weren't made by Honda, but a company called Takata and they were installed in over twenty different manufacturers cars, ergo not a Honda issue really.
GM - give you that one.

Thing that's different about VAG is their deliberate attempts to deceive legislation and consumers, only when caught did they scurry around trying to appease, even though in Europe they've got away with buggering their software and no comeback thereafter.

Get out of jail free card for VAG.
