hi
what sort of drill are you after?
i got my dad a black&decker cordless drill a little while ago for his birthday, for £49.99 in argos its has 16 settings and i so pleased with it.
id recommoned you to have a look in argos there is so many you can choose from and i think are all fairly priced but i dont think you can beat black&decker.
happy shopping!

Not too sure on the uses

He is retired and a bit of a handyman.

So cordless, hammer action, and maybe around the £60 price.
