Hi all

I am looking to go away to Bournemouth on August 16 for 3/4 nights. I am looking for a Hotel thats walking distance from the beach. I will be going with my wife and our 1 year old baby daughter.

I just need somewhere thats family friendly, has somewhere to park my car. Breakfast will be good also. If anyone can help i thank them in advance. I've looked around on, holiday inn and last minute. All 3* hotels are starting from £60-£120. I don't mind booking one of these but would rather prefer one that I can get a reference on.

LOL - Some say that they are a 5 min drive from the beach, I hope that dosent mean that you have to drive 120 MPH

Idealy if I can get something god for around £70 a night, tha would just be awsome. P

We always stay at the Lampeter hotel, lovely location which overlooks the lower pleasure garden and is about a 3 minute walk from the town centre and the beech.
Thanks Broxy, works out £93 per night, which is ok I guess. I may well book a few nights here. Thank you man.

Anyone else with other options?

I'm gonna book something tonight after work. P
We always stay in the Connaught.
It's a few mins walk to the beach, on the popular west cliff and has a swimming pool (for the kids), a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi for you and the mrs :)
There's 2 parts to the hotel.
The main part is quite reasonably priced but there's also the "lodge", which is a seperate building to the side of the hotel but offers a cheaper alternative.
You still get to use all the facilities of the hotel and go there for your breakfast etc, but it just offeres accommodation a bit cheaper.

Also, the breakfast is huge.
It's help yourself and you get all the usual fry up (pick what you want), there's also toast + jams/marmalade, (which you do yourself so can have as much as you want, all the cereals, fresh fruit juices, tea/coffee, yoghurts and even a selection of pastries so you can fill the kids up before you go out :)
Hi - I live in Bournemouth - a top place and you will have a great time.
The air show is on 20-23rd August if you are still around and there's also loadds going on in te town during the summer.

As for hotels, I always recommend this one:

It's very close to town centre, beach etc but not close to all the clubs/bars so you will get a good kip! It's also in a nice part of town, a stone's throw from tthe pier and gardens and it has ample car parking.Good for families too as kids stay free according to website.

Let me know if you need any more info!

Hey magough and Karaokecolin thanks guys, unfortunatly both of your recomended hotels are fully booked for the time that I need. They both looked great esp belvedere. I've gone with Lampeter, I managed to get it for £85 per night with brekfast included.

Just wanna send a massive Thank You to all three of you for your time spent helping me. Good Rep all around.
