After searching on comparison sites I've had better rates in the past with Expedia, code AFFUKVBOX10HOTJAN17 10% off Selected Hotels & 8% Quidco. Just tried code & it worked on Les Fleurs Boutique Hotel for example.

I tend to use a variety of comparison sites as they tend to cover most of the online providers between them ... trivago.co.uk moneysupermarket.com hotelscombined.com

of the direct providers, accorhotels.com have wide range of hotels of different levels and prices

Its best to check for example Trivago for a price then ring the hotel direct and ask for a discount. All hotels pay the booking sites between 15 and 20% for the booking so its in their interest to split the difference for a direct booking. I run a small hotel

If you are going to book a number of rooms throughout the year then hotels .com offer 1 night free for every 10 nights booked. we cant better this sort of deal

for hotels.com you need to read the small print carefully. You cannot use your "free night" to pay taxes so your room will probably still cost you £20 upwards. The prices are usually higher than other booking sites or going direct. Your credit will lapse unless you book at least one night in 12 months. CAn still be worth it but the headline is misleading

I've often found Alpha Rooms have either a more competitive rate than the comparison sites for similar rooms, or, they have negotiated an add-on such as inclusive breakfast. No cashback with them, but they are doing a promotion this month which is featured here.
