s7 edge if you can live without the s pen, basically a smaller note 7 inside

I'd say to wait for the new Nexus 6 which should be out soon.

thanks

depends what you're looking for in terms of features.

no lg phones lol good camera bright screen and fast

The GG5 on the Note 5 isn't scratch resistant at all (very much like the Turbo 2's plastic screen. Normally you'd get a screen protector, except because of the curved glass, there aren't any good ones (not for my S7 edge!).

im in the same boat (actually a little out of contract and gone sim only)

can take new handest at any time but my 2 year old Note 4 hasnt a mark on it, works flawlessly, quickly and without a single issue. think ill just hang on to it till it starts giving problems....i cant find a decent upgrade in technology or performance (for my usage) that warrants the additional cost at the moment

my vote says stick with the tried and tested, and still reasonably current Note 4 !

so am i, i initially pre-ordered the note 7 on a £50/month tariff but then realised 'why am i paying £1200 over 2 years for a phone so similar to my note 4'

debating whether to get the cheaper s7 edge or just bide my time and see what else comes out in the coming months

Note 4 is a superior phone and if you can wait - wait for something better with similar features like replecable battery and upgradeable memory.
I got myself S7 and after few days returned it.
For me phones with programmed life (estimated by total battery life) are joke.
I do not like being forced to buy a new phone because manufacturer decided
that planned obsolescence is a way to sell more phones. Also build quality by some called
a step in a future for me is only a way to make phone more fragile.
But marketing team will convince people that 10% - 15% faster processor is worth upgrading
and spending +£500 for a NEW and BETTER phone.

BTW: If they want to make phones die sooner (battery) they could do something useful for environment and make them biodegradable.

Stay with Note 4. It is a great phone.

Agree, I have the Note 4, a fine phone, my contract doesn't end until May 2017, don't be spending extra money unnecessarily

Honor 8

Note 7. It's the only choice.

I am dreaming of a Note 4, why bother to change it no major advances in tech or capabilities out their, just a few tweeks, and you will spend hours downloading your apps, and inputting passwords.

Looks like a lot of Samsung Note 4 owners are struggling to find a replacement. I'm in the same boat. Bought mine in late 2014 sim free from Samsung, been looking for a replacement for a few months now. disappointed with the Note7 pricing as I think phone's in general have moved on with the like's of OnePlus, Lenovo's Moto range and Xiaomi pushing pricing downwards yet Samsung seem to be just upping there marketing spend and passing on the pricing to consumers.
So I'm out on the Note7...been close to buying a OnePlus3 but battery life has put me off.
So I'm still waiting for something to appear that will replace my Note 4 at a sensible price.....

Hoping the Nexus 'Marlin' is priced sensibly and also hoping it is dual sim so I can stop carrying my work phone around as well....

In the Mean time I'd flash a Note7 rom

maybe when the Note 7 gets android 7 as the Note won't be getting this from Samsung. Until then I can't see a lot in the Note 7 rom that is worth the rom change.

Neither can I this should have been the Note5 .So I'm holding back to see if the Chinese Edition comes to Europe with a beeter spec for the same price .
