Try Matthews usually work out £500 cheaper than the likes of Keycamp, Eurocamp, Canvas and SiBlu. I've travelled with Matthews for the last 10 years, a decent family run company.

We've booked 2 weeks at Carnac Plage from 22nd July to 5th August in a Focus mobile home and it has cost just under £1000 including channel crossings from Dover to Calais, other crossings are available but surcharges do apply. Book before end of Feb and get early booking discount.

This site has a family caravan for rent on the site. I can't speak too highly of the site and owners etc. It's brilliant.

It's in loire but easily reachable in less than a day from Calais/Dunkirk
Be quick for cheap ferries. I can advise re that if you want

Cant remeber where we stayed in France but we found Speedferries the cheapest crossing and fastest about 45mins i think

I think you'll find Speedferries went belly-up last year.

may be your best bet

Thomson Al Fresco do 2 weeks for 1 which might save you some money.
Brittany ferries have loads of routes to choose from. Try and get a day ferry sailing though, like Portsmouth to Caen, it will save you money on cabins on overnight sailings.

Loyalty Discount of 10%, as I say I've used them for 10 years. Also I booked in January when they were offering an extra 10% discount. The discount is only 5% now, Gave them a call and ask for their best price, I'm pretty sure that the web price doesn't show discounts. If you want I'll pm my details and see if they will give you a referral discount from me.

Hi guys

thanks to the OP or bringing this up.. hope i am not hijacking the thread

We are thinking about camping with friends (4 adults and 3 kids in total, aged 4, 9 & 12 iirc), in Northern France (approx 2 hr drive MAX once we're crossed over the water)

if anyone can throw some ideas this way that would be great  Also, any crossing deals would be great too :-D

All my family hols were in france when i was younger. My parents either used Matthews, as mentioned above or French freedom holidays. This is the web address.http://www.french-freedom.co.uk/
Both excellent companies
