In my head though I just presume they are going to look with a fine tooth comb to get more money in. But the groupon reviews for particular garage has 65 4.5 plus stars.

I took one through Groupon with Mr tyre cost me £11.50 ish as I had a voucher......was very sceptical thinking they would find all sorts wrong with it...but not even an advisory.

an mot is an mot, if the guy does his job properly and keeps to regulations than no difference where you go or where you purchase.

Depends on your car and the establishment I guess. I go to a local garage who are very reputable

If you read the mot manual there is a heck of a lot of grey areas which are interpreted differently by different people. I tend to be as lenient as i can without comprimising safety as thats the way its meant to be done. If it meets requirement on the day it doesnt matter if it wont in a week its at the time of test

I see some mot certificates with piles of advisorys on then half of which are garbage and i just think yeah that tester is a clown lol

Purchased one of these a couple of years ago and couldn't get an appointment booked even though I had over 2 months till my MOT ran out. Had a huge argument with Groupon to get the money back, my credit card had to step in in the end!

Ask yourself how a garage can offer an MOT that operates at a loss...

Screwdriver in CV boot, Yeah, that's gone, mate.

well just to let you know Mot was £17.50 and they charged me £100 extra for some exhaust work and the normal gaiter that allows ingress of water.

cheapest mot ive had in last 4 years. not bad for 13 year old mondeo

Get an MOT at your local council-owned testing station. They don't do repair work, so they have no incentive to fail the car or be picky.
