im from birmingham.

last year i seen alot of travel companies scamming hajj customers. this worries me and my bank advise me to pay by card insead of cash cause with cash you cant recover it in a event of a scam.

Ya, it is the biggest congregation on earth, around 2 million people visited last year, I guess. My house mate went to hajj last year through fosis which is federation of student islamic societies in the U.K. Non-students can also join their groups and prices are very competitive, i guess it was £2150 per person for full all inclusive package. Though he mentioned that the place where they stayed was a bit far from haram but you can discuss this with fosis, i am sure.
