Hi, I have a really slow dell dimension and the fact that I have 2x256Mb of RAM is not really helping. I could pay cash if in London or via Paypal Many thanks in advance for your help and understanding. As the title states it's got to be 2x512Mb, 1x1Gb or even 2x1Gb of pc2100 266mhz 184-pin DDR memory . Anything better then what I;ve got would do really and any offers will be appreciated.

You can get 1GB module in CEX for £32 or 512mb modules for £12 each.

Original DDR isn't cheap these days but even so, CEX is a little over priced. Still, it will make a hell of a difference to your computing experience.

The above are both in stock in Tottenham Court Road branch and come with guarantee.

My computer will most likely not live up to end this memory's warranty.. lol.. I can only hope someone's gonna dig some up in their old dusty drawers.. It's unusable nowadays unless you're using some dead piece of trash like mine. Thanks for your answer and I'm still waiting. Common people..Please help.

If the machine really is slow and painful, no harm in reinstalling Windows again - that can give new life to an old PC. I'd imagine the machine is at least 1ghz and with 1GB RAM and a clean install of XP it'll run like a dream :)

Thanks Dio.. unable to do this as there's way too many programs already installed, running win2000 pro and haven't got the original programs anymore. It will take me forever.. Cheaper to put some memory on top..

Machine is old Dell Dimension 4550 P4 2.4ghz, 2x256 Mb 266 pc2100, approx 750Gb on 3 Hdd (..lol..) nvidia 64mb, runing on the top of the range 22"fujitsu we all got sooo cheap. Nicest piece of the whole sistem is the Monitor :-) Just need some memory folks..please..
