With the clubcard points, and 3%?? quidco, it seems a good choice.

Any constructive comments appreciated

Cheers

Hi, thanks for advice, the free screen is only 84" though, i was looking at a 120" screen to go with it..

something like this

I have a hd65 can't fault it for the money it cost me, remember the size of screen is dependant on the size of your room, use http://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator.cfm to see if you can get away with a 120"

I hope your garden is dark then, because when the sun shines on my screen it will be difficult to make out the players and whats going on, i got black out curtains and watch mine indoors, i would re-think if it is for outside tbh

Yeah the sun wil be behind the screen, as opposed to shining onto it. and this projector is said to be very bright, so i was hoping it would be ok..

But, i really have no idea about this sort of thing, so i am probably wrong..

ermm, well, just from my experience i would say an outside projector may not work as well as you would want it to, i mean i have not used mine outside, but then there is a reason for that. If you think about it outside screens like drive in movies are only used in the evenings. I would think you would be better off investing in a huge tv, but don't be put off by my thoughts, maybe do some research on google into using a projector outside and see what comes up!

Yeah, it is something that i considered briefly, but perhaps not enough.. thanks for mentioning that, as you could very well be correct.

Perhaps i can make an outdoor tent sort of thing out of england flags to darken it lol

Hi jayjayuk1234!

Mate I had a projector, You need a very dark room to watch it! & the Heat they give off is a nightmare, I got a 42" hd 1080p TV & would never go back to a projector! The Builb cost me £250 every year and a half!

As for using it outside......hahaha.... you would never see it! I would say put the radio on!

That saddens me, but i did read that a 3500 Lumens projector would work outdoors, shame they are more expensive AND the bulbs dont last as long AND they are more expensive LOL

Oh well, it is looking like world cup on 50" plasma instead..:cry:
