Hi
Currently purchasing a new TV I'm looking for a hdmi cable as well. Ideally longer than 2m and must be good in quality. I have no idea of the quality like and types of hdmi cables. Having look at 7dayshop website alone there are two types with different prices already. Could you please give me some advice/share your experience in this market. Thanks.

Well the longer the cable the less good it is for the signal.

All the same, just get the cheapest 1.3 spec cable.

2 metre cables should still be fine. I'd go for better shielding - and perhaps spend a few extra pounds getting braided ones as they do tend to last a little longer. The new 1.4 cables are now out, but 1.3 should be fine. You'll not need to spend any more than 7-10 pounds including P&P.

So the 1.3 ones in 7dayshop are just fine?

For £1 it's worth a try.

I've always used UKHDMI as their cables are lovely, and delivery is super fast -

the 5m ones are out of stock :?

The reason I spent a wee bit more is I found the cheaper ones caused a bit of interference when the kids were usig Singstar mics, since I replaced all 3 cables with higher quality cables no buzzing from the mics. I suppose if you don't have any other appliances that could cause interference then the cheaper ones will be fine.

Will consider that as well. Thanks

Apparently 5m or under then any cable will do; just depends upon the build quality :)

Over 5m then its better to pay a bit more as there will be some signal degradation.
