When it comes to performance and style, there's little to beat the Philips 37PFL5322.

Key to the 37PFL5322's high performance is the inclusion of Philips' Pixel Plus HD. Pixel Plus HD increases the number of lines and pixels, with resulting increases in detail from HD sources. Added to this is a 3D comb filter which enhances the clarity of all signals, whether they are HD or standard definition.

Although not as good as a separate home cinema system, Philips have also managed to produce decent sound quality from the 37PFL5322. Dynamic bass enhancement gives the sound added body, whilst "Incredible Surround" gives a more enveloping feel. If this isn't enough there's even a 7-band graphic equalizer that you can adjust to get that perfect balance.

In terms of connections, the 37PF5322 provides everything expected of a modern flat screen TV. Twin HDMI sockets cater for 2 High Definition sources, whilst twin SCART sockets and a component input ensure that all analogue inputs are well taken care of.

Using styling cues from their more expensive models, Philips have designed the 37PFL5322 to a high standard. The black and silver facia fronts a sleek design, and the glass pedestal stand offers a touch of class absent in many competitors.

If it's value and quality you're after in your 37" LCD TV, then you need look no further than the Philips 37PFL5322.

To be honest that is a great deal!

I wouldn't touch it as far as I'm concerned Phillips make great shavers but the rest of their stuff packs up all the time.

SONY/JVC/PANASONIC/SAMSUNG/TOSHIBA/LG are the best brands

Best thing to do is just keep an eye on this site, you will pick up a bargain no doubt!

£430 @ Play could get you a 32" Sony or Samsung. Or £400 for this Toshiba although personally I'd rather pay the extra £30 for the Samsung :)

I am actually looking for a smiliar deal as I have a PS3 too. I think I am going to try and get the 1080p spec, as the quality will really improve. Does anyone have any idea of which is the best 1080p HDTV? Cheers!

PS -my first post woo hoo!

What's your budget?

Ideally under 500 GBP -Thanks! :)

I think £500 may be pushing it for 1080p. I just had a quick look on Play and the cheapest 1080p one I could find was this 32" Toshiba for £550.

I'll have a look on some other sites though.

Is it worth going HD at this size? Wouldn't think improvement would be too noticeable

Oh ok. Well I have a 32 inch and I think it's big enough to notice the difference between SD and HD (720p) especially in games. I've not seen 1080p on a 32 inch but I've heard people say that the difference between 720 and 1080 is only noticeable on bigger screens.

But yeah, definitely worth it imo :)
