I'm down to choosing either the Sony 32D3000 or the Panasonic 32LXD70.
What would you choose and why?

Cheers folks.

The Sony's the better looking TV and the better technically, but there's quite a price difference in most stores. Personally I'd say go look at the two side by side somewhere like John Lewis and see if you think it's worth the extra.

My advice would be to look at Which? verdicts. There was an article in 'the Guardian'. 'Money' section, Saturday 8th December 2007. Check for access online. It was the consumer test on flat screen 32" LCD televisions.

Both TV's are reletively cheap now, between £599 - £799. But are sold out everywhere.

Any advice on home cinema equipment, maybe with DVD player?

For Sony there is also the KDL-32V2500 (Now going cheap)

For cheap HDMI cables check out play.com

I'm pretty sure the Panasonic is out of stock everywhere because a new model is scheduled to come out, apparently somewhere in may. The new model is the TC-32LZ800, that's what I'm waiting for.
