Its classified as 16, but your buying it, is no different to all the other parents you see in game etc on a weekend buying 15 or 18 rated games for their kids. (your moral call I'm afraid)
try this site: http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/videoGames.aspx
you don't say wether it's for 360 or ps3 but you can use search boxes to look

It's only illegal for a shop to sell it to you son, it's entirely up to you if you want to let him play it. Only you know if you think it's suitable for him. Check out this site http://uk.gamestracker.com/Default.htm you can find out where is selling it the cheapest depending on what console you want it for.

wow, thankyou ever so much you two, you've really helped with this one, if its a 16, then i may buy it him as he is 15 so it should not be too bad for him will it? he has probably played worse, it will shut him up anyway! hehehe. i was just hoping it was not an 18 thats all, and thanyou for the website, much appreciated, reputin added.

The game is literally all about shooting people or blowing them up so as long as you think your son understands this is "just a game" and not to go round thinking shooting people is ok.

This is an Xbox 360 (they also come in black)

hahaha, i know wat it is now! a ps3! hes always on it, he has grand auto, so he should be alright, this website is great, how come i have not heard a bout it before. thanks alot for your advice on things.

OMG if he has Grand Theft Auto then COD4 will be like a nursery story to him!! lol
Even I don't like playing GTA cos it's so violent

Like most sites you just tend to come across them by accident when searching for something else or someone else tells you about it. I tend to keep a book mark section for things like this so I can refer back to them whenever without trawling through google trying to find them!

i agree, it can be very frustfrating at times, and is gta that bad? should i be letting him play this? it does not seem to bad to me, its very cartoony, although he tells me of a new thing coming out, will this be graphic? and how do you bookmark on the internet? thank you again.

Yeh they play allsorts of these war type strategy ones cos their Dad plays them and they want to join in too.
I've not seen too much of the game but I think if they understand its just a game then its ok.
When my GTA comes at end of mth,I imagine my son be wanting a go,he knows we can't really go out and nick a car cos its not the done thing. He said this clearly to me when I was playing San Andreas a few yrs back but he was a bit young to play the game really like the controls etc, but he be having a go of new one.

The new GTA due out has people doing stuff to themselves that a 15 year old shouldn't be watching (stuff you do in private) if you get what I mean..... :whistling:

It's about nicking cars, running people over, doing bank jobs and virtually any bad thing you can think of, I would only let a person of around 18 play it if I thought they totally understood that the things in it are bad and not stuff you should do in real life. Maybe you should watch him play the GTA game he has for half hour and see what you think of it.

With regards saving bookmarks, if you are using Firefox when you are on a page you just click the "Bookmarks" tab on the top bar of your browser then "Bookmark this page", click the little grey down arrow box to the right of the drop down menu next to Create in then you can click the New Folder tab and call it whatever you like then just hit OK and your bookmark is saved. You can view it by clicking the Bookmarks tab again and it will be in the list.

If you are using Internet Explorer (might be diff on older versions) you click the tab on the left with the green + sign and yellow star, then "Add to Favourites", then again click grey tab with "New Folder", call it what you want, then click "ADD"

Hope this helps....

p.s.

There are shortcuts to adding to bookmarks but some people hate using them so I did the long way!

He wouldn't be able to play the game all way through as he get stuck on the missions as they get harder. He will just be having a drive around and the usual. Its unfair to be playing a game and not let him have a go,it be my game and my saveup on it. I see no harm letting him play a little as its good for co-ordination with hands on the controllers and doing the buttons without looking.

Everyone has a different way of looking at these things, I personally wouldn't want my child playing a game that has things (like I mentioned in previous post) in that I wouldn't want him/her to see. They can get good co-ordination playing harmless games like Pro Evo Soccer, Forza, Sensible Soccer and lots of other ones. We have 360 so I can't think of examples at the mo for PS3

Not saying you are wrong just that I would be mindful of what my child might view when I am not with them and able to explain. I have a 7 year old son and he sometimes watches me play COD4, he understands killing isn't a good thing and sees it merely as a game but there is no way I would let him watch GTA cos of the sexual nature of it's content and the graphic violence etc. etc. it shows them things they are too young to understand or have explained to them.

I understand this person's son is 15 so twice my sons age but I don't know how grown up he is or how much he understands about sex etc. So perhaps I am being overly cautious to protect a child's mind

Each to their own of course!

yes its legal, but i'd file a complaint to social services if you let him play the game on veteran :w00t: that is torture!

Which GTA is it? I believe the later ones are worse. If it's on the PS3 then it's one of the recent one, if it's on the PC it could be any.

I wouldn't worry about call of duty, it's nothing worse than you'd see on a world war 2 documentary (the previous three games were set in world war 2).
