Is the advice for you?

Your GP would surely be a good source of information. Hope it all goes well.

you need to encourage the person to speak to their GP, there are several things that can help. Good luck.

Your GP/local practitioner.

Unfortunately the potential good advice sought on a forum type website, where the unliked or unseen, seek likes or to be seen, could provide less than helpful contributions to a serious issue.

GP. Not HUKD. Hope it improves.

19 year old girl (or friend of) screams for help and advice and the trolls on HUKD cannot get it past their thick heads to be compassionate and understanding.

At OP I hope they will sit down with their GP and tell them exactly whats wrong and that the GP listens to them and gets the help and if they cannot find the strength to talk to their GP then just show them this thread.

Clearly it's took the person guts to post such a thread and wants help but probably can't find the same guts to tell someone, in person, who may be able to help. I know how they feel with this issue but I have no experience with anorexia.

But what I do hope is the OP (or friend of) gets sorted and is able to live a normal life and enjoy it for all it's ups and downs.

Best post of 2017 candidate.

I'm no expert but I often feel these types of problems need a complete change of mindset because it is a mental problem and one that can get worse the more you concentrate on it. So perhaps the person needs a complete change in their life, something to concentrate them. If they can't get help form their GP perhaps volunteer for charity work in somewhere like Africa or the poorer areas in the world.
