thanks i know currys do the lg hope they have some kind offer for dvd player ect all in
#5
just been on currys website and 42inch lg out of stock

but you'll probably not get these prices at Currys...unless you can persuade them to price match?....so what are you after?....HD ready with freeview?
if so just confirm and I'm sure someone on here can find you a deal....best to start a new post with a deal request for a specific model.

Well in that case the LG from Pixmania is right for you....seems a good price.

Well I wouldn't rely on the advice you get instore..my experience ius that they know very little about the products on sale...my advice is to have a look instore just to identify the models you like best...have a look at the LG and if it suits then order online from Pixmania...you'll also get quidco cashback.

DON'T GO TO CURRYS / COMET / ETC

Get yourself to an AV specialist - Empire Direct / Richer Sounds, or a Local Panasonic / Sony store!

I can't believe you are just gonna go and buy a £1000+ TV without researching! I spent months digging around before I spent £1300 on my Panny 42" Plasma!

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/product.php?sku=951546&camp_id=ppc_kelkoo_search

probably best to buy here as you can get 6% quidco cashback..it's 3% at Currys.

It's the same price at Dixons ...suggest you have a look in the voucher section for any valid codes...although I cannot reacall any current ones....you could try nhs182 at PCworld/currys for 5% discount...not sure if still works ...as you proabbly know Cuurys/Dixons/PCworld are the same group...called DSG.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/18544/various-discount-for-lcd-plasma-tvs

£50 off at Dixons...plus 2.5% quidco...it's a case of doing your sums to find the best deal

Are you talking about instore purchase....as you know Dixons stores have been rebadged Currysdigital....anyway if you want to save a tidy sum it's prudent to buy online using the discount codes and using quidco for the cashback...certainly saves money.
#20
currys said they would price match the internet price
ended up with 40inch samsung that swivels with the £350 dvd and seround sound and stand for £1249
#21
Well that sounds a good system..hope it provides many hours of enjoyable viewing.
#22

I know, it's complete insanity. Almost everyone I know seems to have bought their new LCD TVs on impulse and have all learnt the error of their ways shortly after.

e.g. 'Matt!' 'Matt!' - I've just bought one of those LCD TV's, it's well good. Come and have a look at it.

Oh no, what have you done! :giggle:

to be honest there must be quite a few impulse buyers on this site as you have to act fast to get the deal
i know what i liked and ended up with it just wanted a bit of advise
people act within there means (hopefully) and i expect to be paying that kind of money for a tv so it wasnt something that took me to long to think about
i understand what your saying and if i was someone who was really in to tvs i would have spent more time and effort but as long as i can watch desperate houswives and play wii thats all i care about
