buy cothes that fit, rather than clothes that have age 11 in the lablel, my daughter was in size 8 jeans at 12. she is only 14 now but buys adult clothing, and has for along time. she is slim, with long legs, but no way would she get into age 14/15 jeans

i have tried getting her adult sizes but they never seem to fit her right she is about a 12 ladies waist and she is quite short but the legs are baggy on her and they just dont fit or look right,i just cant believe that there is no shops that sell bigger sizes for children!thanks sassie

hi what about adult petite, or try skinny fit that might help with baggy legs.

i can sympathise i think we'll have a similar problem with my son he's 6 at the moment but in 8yr clothes. hes quite tall for his age but also broad, i can't say hes heavy as hes not in fact you can see his ribs i don't know he puts the food as he eats more than me. but getting length and width etc in the correct proportions is a nightmare - good luck

have also tried petite i think its because she has got a womens shape yet that makes them not look right on herthey seem to be baggy on the crotch area,i know bhs do a generous fit but only on the school wear!apart from there i dont know anywhere else that sells bigger sizes!thanks every1 for help!

have you tried cargo trouser rather than jeans, if you cant get jeans to fir then maybe worth trying other clothing rather than jeans

thats the only place i can find and their choice in girls clothes is poor!
may try her with some combat/cargo pants i think i have tried them b4 but may take her to a few different shops where she can try things on again!

or try ordering form catalogues or online shops (like next), at least then you can order a few items, different styles, different sizes, etc,etc

My daughter loves wearing skirts with leggings, can't go wrong with it, its fashionable and you can mix n match just buy her the next size up as with a skirt you don't have to worry about fitting on the leg and leggings are pretty

flexible they sort of fit to anysize , team them with a groovy smock top, nice belt and perhaps some dolly shoes or ugg style boots, you can have a few outfits in one !

great idea there malibu, dont know why i never though of this, as thats what my daughter lives in if not in her jeans, and the ugg style boots are cheap as chips on ebay, thats where i got daughters from, and can be worn with anything

you can get them ugg style boots in primark for £6 (adult sizes) haven't got any personally but my sister has they're supposed to be really comfy !

Hello,
Sounds like you have had some good advice. I noticed in the next catalogue that they now do a 'plus fit' on their trousers including jeans, I'm not sure if this link will work, but try this...

It may be worth bearing this in mind, for the next sale at Chrsitmas, and I am sure there will be a free delivery code on here.

I have found the Gap to be very generous with its sizing. I don't know what their girls clothes are like but I tend to go to to the outlet store at Cheshire Oaks to stock up for my son.
