Any help on this anyone.... Bought a TV 2 years ago from currys with 5 years guarantee anyway it went faulty 6 months ago .. currys then repaired this then returned back to me ..had same fault again so they sent it away again then lost this for a week and returned back to me all smashed in ..so away it went again ..TV back again all fixed then week later got lines on screen another fault ..Off it goes again i was then called a liar(Nothing wrong with TV he said) and laughed on the phone to by engineer. they found the fault but after taking this further i was told to go into store and choose new tv which i did .. so have new TV .. week later my old TV turns up from repair all fixed .. now the store just rung me up asking have i received my old tv which they most know i have as i signed for this ..The TV should have gone to the store but instead they sent it too me ... Do i have to give it them back? if i dont can they take legal action against me .. What do you think i should do? HELP GUYS

Just give them back the old repaired TV, why would you keep it when you have been given a new one?

Tell them you have it, give them when you are available for them to come collect it.

Of course you have to give it back. Let them come and collect it though at their expense.

Geez. You really need to come onto a forum and ask if you should be giving back a TV which was sent back to you in error even though you have already received a replacement via the shop? What is wrong with some people.

In response to "What do you think i should do?" As you have already said, they know you have it, even if they didn't you should still do the same thing. Speak to the store, confirm that you have it and arrange for them to come and collect it at your reasonable convenience.

I've had a couple of things repaired by Currys, not impressed, things come back scratched or damaged and they never work as well as they did before. I think they just bodge the repair to get it to the end of the warranty period.
Regarding your question, you have to give back one of them, you can't keep both, so do as SkyeVincent says and give them back the old repaired one.

Yes give it back. Even if you kept it, there would probably be another problem.

Under normal circumstances i would agree but if the ops story is true id be pushing currys to leave me with the repaired one as a goodwill gesture. Complain enough via phone or email theyd probably give him it

If it was John Lewis or Richer Sounds I'd take it back myself.

With Currys I'd regard it as payback for years of treating me & others like dirt & keep it without any guilt complex

He can hardly pretend he hasn't got it as he's signed for it,then if he denies it's his signature that's a whole new territory.
