Help Needed To Help Reduce TV/Telephone/Broadband Cost (Currently with Sky)

Every year I have always been offered good retention deals. Last year I was given

Free HD box and free installation
12 months free HD subscription
6 months half price TV package (was extended for another 6 months = 12 months)
12 months free line rental
Full price broadband at £17 p/m (not unbundled area)

My 12 month deal is ending and contacted Retentions and the Sky Executive Team to be told that everything would now be charged at full price.

They stated there are no deals on telephone / broadband and haven't been since Xmas'10 and the offers available now are:

25% discount on Tv packages for 12 months
Or ... 6 months half price

So I am left with a good television offer without extending my contract though am left with an expensive broadband / telephone package

1) Has anyone been offered a decent retention offer from sky?
2) Are there any good deals for telephone broadband packages for areas that have not been unbundled (LLU)
3) Is there anyway of finding out when you area is to be unbundled or to speed it up? (ie could a community pay for it to happen sooner?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and Virgin Media are not in my area.

Thank you again

Chris

What's your current download & upload speed..

Advertised: 20Meg (2Megabyte/Sec)
Received: 14.5Meg (1.4Megabyte/Sec)

Seems you've had some pretty good deals up until now, I think we pay around £40 for Phone, TV & Broadband we called cancellations once about 2 months ago & ended up in another 6month contact. The deal £10.00 of Tv & a slightly reduced rate on the Internet the Internet price drop was due to their updated prices since we signed up so **** all really, lol my mum easily sold.

Before joining Sky we was on Virgin 10Meg (1.1Megabyte/Sec) for £20.00GBP I received 1 Megabyte/Sec downstream but due to traffic management policy was limited on what I could download through the day (Streaming movies/shows etc) by up to 75% for 4hours at a time which left me staying up all night to download and sleep through the day.

Check this site out:

It'll show you which ISP are capped also here's Virgin Media's traffic management policy:

I got out before things got bad, Check out Reviewcentre & Ciao for consumers feedback on both services Sky can be hit & miss depending on which area's etc I was capped for 3months on 6Meg & told thats all I could receive till I took matters into my own hands and sit comfortably on 14Meg

Most my friends and family who are on Sky receive around 6-8Meg so watch out.

Ps Id drop the Sky Tv & it's complete trash just download, stream or what ever complete freedom is a gift.
