help please what is the best way of taking money to us , dont know if i have dreamed this , but can you load up a payment card to use while your there , ??

or any tips on best way of taking money , or using a credit card , much appreciated , thanks !!

Halifax Clarity is the best way to spend abroad as all other cards charge a fee, where as the Halifax Clarity card doesn't, I have infact just changed to this also as I travel a lot to the states mainly.

Other way is a top up card, see link below regarding this.

You can just go into your local post office and buy foreign currency. For New York you will need to ask for US dollars. A purse is a convenient way to carry it around until you wish to spend it.

Yeah, great advice !!!!!!!.............if you wanna be mugged !,oO i would go with either travellers cheques or the card that was mentioned above (_;)

I'd go for travellers cheques as in America you can use these like cash for example spend 20 dollars give them a 50 travellers chequeand they give you 30 in cash making it easier to work out what you're spending I find on a card it's easy to loose track of spending whereas with them If u haven't got them you can't overspend !

my travel cash do a dollar card and you get a great rate.if you go through quidco you even get money back
