Makes me laugh when you say a laptop for £250 or maybe £300, and then someone posts one for £379.

Anyway, here are 2 different laptops that I saw in Staples the other day, both £299. I think they are available at this price instore only.

I posted them on HotUkDeals here

I bought that laptop two weeks ago from Tesco. The keyboard looks bulgy, higher in the centre than in the corners. The delete key is in the top right corner and was so stiff it wouldnt press in. Then it broke completely after nine days, and the backspace key wouldnt depress either. The mousepad was unbelievably bad - if you were on a page with lots of "clickable" parts, for example this site, if you went to run the cursor across the page, it would stick repeatedly on clickable parts even when you werent selecting them. it would open links and freeze, highlight stuff and generally drive me potty. I've never known anything like it. The whole thing was very very plasticky and naff. I do understand that it is a budget brand, but really the build quality was horrible. The nasty flimsy plastic keyboard won't last.

I phoned Tesco and had mine collected today for a full refund. Nine days of use, and not even much use at that, since I still use this desktop too.
