Can't you get the previous owner to contact Apple about the icloud lock ?
Think it only needs proof of purchase to reset the lock.

Do not use this website. They are fraudsters - I am speaking from experience.
I used them due to complications with me leaving EE and joining 3.
This website took my money and then said that there are massive delays but they are trying their hardest.
Never got done (3 months later). Had to go and fight EE over several days to get it done in the end.

said it was bought from cex

big thread on these scammers here

you will be very lucky to find anyone to remove the icloud lock, as its apples way of ensuring stolen phones don't get sold on. if you bought it from cex take it back, if you didn't buy then.......

It has the S in the email address.

As stated above, take it back for a refund.

If there was a easy way round a theft prevention system there'd be little point in it being there in the first place.

htpp with a S on the end means that the site is secure.

Take it back, either the seller left the cloud settings on and the shop didn't check or who ever you got it from aren't being honest with you and I would expect that it's stolen. If you didn't get it from a retailer send an email to the email address on the cloud settings and tell the person you found their phone and want to send it back to them.

the said the previous owner bought it off cex why would they take it back he hasn't bought it off them. why did u buy it without checking the phone before purchasing it or did u get it really cheap as it may or may not be stolen. probably hasn't been reported stolen as it's not very expensive and some people don't report things stolen it's too much hassle. but take it back to the person u bought it from and ask them to ring apple to get it unlocked that's if u are able to locate that person know.

I took a punt on a this phone, locked and cracked screen.. only paid £20 for it....the lad was genuine and told me beforehand that the phone was locked....I took a £20... If I can get it fixed then its a bonus...... If not, I have lost £20... just thought I would ask about to see if Ii could get it working...........someone on ebay reckons they can do it for but I could get another 2nd phone for that!!!
