I'm after a new 42" plasma and any help which model is the best value for money at the moment would be much appreciated. It's only going to be used for watching TV, sky etc., not for gaming. Prefer a panasonic for there reliability but any good model will be considered. It's going to be wall mouted and i have a budget of £700 - £800. Thanks in advance.

Go for Panny great set...I have one  I also have a 40" LCD Samsung not anywhere near as good
Most people I know who have bought tv's recently have got the panasonic viera ones.....not sure if thats because of the price or the product...might be worth a look though
This is an amazing tv...............

Ebay, Item number: 120422310270 is Phillips aurea, 42 HD with 360 amberlight and on frame. Friend has tis and its AMAZING!!!!!!!! worth 3k a year ago!. Now 1k.

Or samsung LED series 7 42 inch you can get for 1500.00 Go to samsung website (UK) and you will see it.

Sorry saw the budget. Well if you can stretch the 200 quid, aurea is amazing with PS3, blu ray etc.
Have a look on AV forums with a bit of research you will know the pros and cons of each of the currant sets.
Scroll down for the Plasma forum

Also there is no substitute for going into a shop and seeing them working, most have them running through blue ray players but comet have live TV avalable for viewing.
