Hi everyone, help please.

ive got a 500 quid budget for a decent tv, walked into pc world and they had this tv for 500, which i think is an amazing price, being an LG and 37"

am i missing something here, or is this just a good price? are the specs not that good or something?

also does anyone know about the john lewis price match, (heard a lot of people price matching and then getting the free 5 year warranty.

any help would be great

thanks

LG dont have the greatest rep, you would be better off going for a better make but smaller screen for your £500 then you wont be dissapointed with the quality of the picture. Try avforums
for advice and ideas, I have a samsung but sony and toshiba are also
good, try and see one in a shop before you buy:thumbsup:

thanks very much, i did see this one in the shop and thought it was quite good.

hmmm maybe i should go for a 32" or up my budget to 750 if i want a 37" or 42"

do i need to get john lewis to price match it and therefore get the warranty?

If you look on the avforums you'll find every tv has its faults - even the best ones.

LG is not one of the better makes but the main thing is - are you happy with the picture? is 37" the right size for your room and viewing distance? will you be watching mainly sports on standard definition or watching DVDs?

Don't rush in to buying one until you've read some reviews but bear in mind the reviews usually compare them to the top of the range £1000 tvs.....

There are some review sites worth looking on - I'll post the web addresses....

Check this out, its 80 quid more than the LG but full HD and a cracking brand. Samsung are the best for plat panal, without spending 2000 with Pioner.

free delivery too.
