Any scrap man/yard will give you a price.
Just make sure you tell DVLA that you are no longer the owner and have scrapped the car otherwise if some chancer puts it back on the road you will be responsible for any speeding fines etc along with a fine from DVLA for not notifying them.

Ring around for best "price per ton" but watch out for extra charges for tyres.

Make sure that the scrap yard is DVLA Registered, and that you get a certificate of destruction.

Put an ad on gumtree asking for a quote and they will email/ring you back.

Car take back is good,I have used them twice.
Hassle free, arranged it online and cars collected two days later. Paid by cheque, easy enough :) £190 for each car.

He was never the owner , just the registered keeper. DVLA own all registered vehicles and thats why if you don't tax and insure it they take whats theirs and crush it. It's unbelievable but we dont lawfully own our cars and the DVLA hide the fact they own it by not kerping records of owners. So next time you get a fine for the registered owner send it to the DVLA. :D
