Personally, I just save all the confirmation emails in a folder called "Purchases", and keep a regular back-up.

(Which reminds me....)

I do now lol but back then it seemed a good idea - and I'm sure it was - if I could actually remember anything about it :-( !!!

Search your emails for keywords like. Receipt. Record purchase. Assuming you haven't deleted emails. Every account has your email address and will contact you so you may find it there.

Oh. I use Google forms. Every purchase I make I fill in a form template I made with boxes and drop down menus. It then gets puts the details in Google drive as spreadsheet entry. I have just over a thousand transactions. Hotmail have the same thing. Takes minutes to setup and free. Keep meaning to make a how to and put on YouTube.

I don't get this, why would you need to enter purchase details online, why don't you just keep the receipts, what am I missing here?

Debz I only keep manual receipts for a while and then chuck them as they're no use - but this keeps records for years so you can go back and check things that you probably wouldn't have bothered keeping the receipt for - I need to find details of a laptop I purchased a few years ago for an insurance claim that was 2 years ago ! I don't have the physical receipt anymore but I should have the details online somewhere !

just had a quick look at this seems ok,
be good if you could have a option to upload a picture for in-store receipts

2 options for that. On phone or tablet Go to Google drive or Microsoft one drive. Go to folders. Click + and select scan. I prefer to use the free tinyscan app. Google forms is just for. What. Where when figures in a spreadsheet

It's called office lens app. For some unknown reason the link is not working.

Having a quick look at youtube, I have found some tutorials way better than I could create. It dose look complicated but it's not. Just have ago. You can edit a form at anytime so start with a really basic form, then tinker as you get a better grasp of the options. I'm in the building trade so every time I make a purchase online or in a store, I pause for 10 seconds and fill in a Google form and hit submit. I have bookmarked the form link and placed on my phone home screen. When needed I tap the bookmarked link that opens the form in my phones browser. I then answer the 3 questions. Which shop? What was bought? Price? Then hit submit. Dose not matter if phone is offline as it will register purchase when a data connection is available. The answers are automatically put in a Google docs spreadsheet. Take a look at this guys how to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTutLzrLhj4

I've never used something like that but if u think u may have received a email for that item or the company u can search for it by date if u remember that or by key words. U will probably need logging on directly on your phones browser as the email app for some reason doesn't go back very far and it misses out emails for some strange reason. That's if u only use mobile phone for emails maybe u have a pc or laptop I which case it should be easier anyway.
