Sony CMTNEZ50 - £76.49 @ Comet.

http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?summary=true&sku=326380

Use code 15HOMEAUDIO @ Checkout for this price.

Has phono input so I'm pretty sure for a couple of quid you can get a 3.5mm jack - phono cable so you can play tracks from an ipod though the system (anyone confirm this?)

Hope this helps :santa:

Thanks airey

Can anyone confirm how ipods connect to hifi's? Would this be suitable? My brother said ipods need a special connecter but I've never seen one so don't know.

I'm pretty sure you can use something like this...

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=31700&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=3.5mm%20jack%20phon&doy=11m12

The 3.5mm jack goes into the headphone socket of the ipod and the other two phonos go into the hifi. You use the ipod like normal but the sound comes through the speakers rather than headphones.

Can anyone confirm this is correct or am i just talking rubbish lol??

Does anyone know id ipods have a special unique ipod connector too? Or would yhis be the typical way of connecting them to a hifi?

without a doubt this:

I bought it after the 101 5 star reviews. (i dont think there are any reviews which are less than 5 star!) and it never disappointed with amazing sound quality. But reading your post again it seems a radio is wanted. Oh well, this is one hell of a piece of kit, and everyone who enjoys listening to music should own it!
