I'm looking to go on holiday with my partner,7 year old and 1 year old. I have no clue of where's good for family's,any help would be greatly appreciated. We want to book now or in 6 week hols, and am willing to pay abit more for somewhere that's family oriented but not rammed with millions of kids. Is there such a place?? I can only hope. I'd also like to see a dolphin/whale show and again don't know where they do these. Thanks in advance:)

I would always recommend Tunisia. Less than 3 hours flight, beautiful golden beaches which don't slope steeply, leaving children out of their depth, friendly locals who absolutely adore children, alcohol readily available but no big drinking culture, cheap restaurants and transport. No whales to the best of my knowledge, and dolphins not guaranteed, though there are plenty of boat trips and rumour has it that they are sometimes seen. I usually stay in Sousse but Hammamet and the newer Hammamet Yasmine is very similar.

When do you want to go?

School summer holidays?

As previously mentioned, there will be kids everywhere.

Destinations with marine parks:
Tenerife - Loro park has dolphins and possibly killer whales
Lanzarote - Rancho Texas has Sea Lions (lovely Park - not too commercial)
Mallorca - Marine land - dolphins and sea lions

I can dream I suppose

Lanzarote is my personal favourite, with Mallorca a close second.

Mallorca would probably be cheaper with shorter flights.

Yes in holidays. I appreciate there would be kids everywhere. I was thinking more of a quieter hotel that's kid friendly but just not loads of them haha. I don't think they exist but worth a try :)

Magaluf is pretty good. And I bet you there will be hardly any kids.

If your looking for quite, I once rented a villa in Turkey that was about 15 mins drive from the city centre. Had it's own pool and we just drove in if we wanted to do anything or eat.

I agree with all your selections. Had a wild night at rancho texas, first and only time I've ever danced.

Tenerife also has Aqua land which has an absolutely amazing dolphin show, it also has a huge water park within it that's aimed at kids. Tenerife has Siam park aswell but that's for older kids and adults

Turkey is great , look what hotels have waterparks for your 7y/o plenty of fun.. Tunisia is ok but not as friendly to woman.. if you have the money to go long haul and you don't mind being on a plane for a long time with the kids then try mexico (west coast) but around 14hr flight or florida. Disney and waterworld.
