Hi guys, just been talking to a couple of my mates and thinking about going to America this year for holiday.

Probably thinking of going to L.A for about a week then up to Vegas for a few nights.

Have no idea what kinda cost would be involved yet at the mo, does anyone have any good sites that can be used for checking holiday prices.

We were thinking of L.A to Vegas via an internal flight are these quite cheap? Or are there other options?

If anyones got any personal experience with going to L.A or Vegas it would be great

I know im a person that says google is your friend lol, but at work at the mo and hukd is one of the few sites that works quickly on my pc plus the first hand experience from people would be great! :)

We went to USA April 09, spent 3 weeks on a road trip from LA upto San Francisco, over to Lake Tahoe, across Death Valley to Vegas then down to San Diego, we used hotwire.com, i4vegas.com, hotel.com to book all our hotels/carhire/internal flights etc, we saved around 70% on accomodation prices and got an upgraded SUV for the 3 weeks for the same price as a 4 door saloon for 1 week booked via BA the previous year.
Every hotel we booked was fab, got 5* hotels for 1/2 * prices

We always use dialaflight for our trips to the US.

We did LA and Vegas 5 years ago but can't remember the costs involved.
Did 3 nights in vegas and 4 nights in LA.

It was our first trip to both places and have since been to vegas 3 times but not back to LA.

LA is a strange place, not what we expected, especially the likes of hollywood. You expect all the glitz and glamour yet it's no more nicer than any normal hight street !!!
Make sure you do the movie home tour to see where the stars live, some amazing places and lots of security surrounding each one, especially rod stewarts pad with an armed guard sat outside !!

Vegas, well, amazing place.
