I recently purchased one of these and they are good, the only downside I would say is if you are making drinks for several people it can take a while.

I had a Breville that got a leak after a year now have the Andrew James, can not fault it.
Got mine direct from Andrew James via Amazon, comes with a two year warranty and over £10 cheaper then Tesco.

Hi, I have a slightly different solution and it's amazing!!
I use a Virgin Pure machine and it keeps water hot and can reach boiling in about 10-15 seconds of a button press. It also provides chilled water instantly that is filtered and treated to UV light for a better taste.
The best bit is it's plumbed in so no tank to refill or left to go smelly like on my nespresso machine!! But it rarely requires any drilling through countertops like hot water taps and installation is done professionally and free of charge.
It's a little more pricey and is a commitment rather than a purchase as it a 12 month minimum contract @ £19 per month.
They send you new filters in the post every 6 months and you just fit them yourself.

If you are interested they run a refer a friend policy so let me know and I can get your first 2 months free. If your a good salesperson and you can convince 5 friends to take it up, then your first year would be free!!
When the wife first got it I was a little sceptical at paying £20 a month for something I can already get but it's been amazing and have convinced half of my family and friends to get one too... they all love it.

Good luck!

How do you find the filter system? And boil time?

I have the Morphy Richards redefine you link to, have had it 8 months now and its been brilliant, boils from 120 ml to 1.5 liters at a time. Really quick and very easy to use.

Why would you recommend this over the others?

From what i can see the hot water has no auto shut off. You have to manually do this. Is that correct

It takes just under a minute for 200ml about a cupful.
You can choose 100ml 200ml 300ml or continuous.
Takes standard filters

The filters should last a couple of months but that's from memory as I do not use britta filters do not like the taste. Go for the morphy one, I had a couple of others before this one including the single cup morphy one and a breville, the redefine one is the best by far.

You can run it without the filter if you want to, to me it tastes better without and you do not have to wait for the water to filter through (works in the same way as a britta jug). The filter sits in a tray which fits on a ledge halfway down the tank, its designed so that you can remove the tray if you do not want to use the filter.

Tried that Morphy Richards redefine and its great but leaves water with an horrible chemical taste, flushed it through about 10 times, used some bicarbonate of soda too but still same:(. Took back for a refund.
