Hi, I'll be travelling to the Lyceum Theatre on a Sunday night in Oct and wondered if anyone can recommend the best but cheapest hotel to stay at. I very rarely travel to London so any advice would be appreciated. I don't want to stay at a hotel that is likely to be very noisy but don't want to spend a fortune!!! Thanks.

There are LOTS of places to stay around that area - not all are expensive either - with regard to noise, hmmm - you should be ok on that front as the Hotels in London are all very well sound proofed.....

Have you looked on Laterooms.com or expedia etc ? Last minute and so on...... If nothing more it will give you a good idea as to where you want to be and how much it is going to cost, and where on a map it is as opposed to the Theatre in the Strand...

If you DO need more help, Im happy to assist where I can....

Purrrrrr.

Try the Days Inn at Waterloo, it's just opposite the Imperial War Museum, never stayed but it's supposed to be good value, it's worth looking on laterooms.com You could either walk to the Lyceum across Waterloo Bridge which would take about 15 minutes or take the 59 bus (about 5 minutes). Enjoy!

I always use TripAdvisor to search for hotels because it lets you search for hotels by price & reviews at the same time.

I simply ran a search for all hotels under £100, rated 4 or more (out of 5) for reviews.
