Once I checked credit report its showing a missed payment to mobile provider from July 2008. Please advise if there is any way of removing it

I had to threaten Experien with court action before they removed my dads details off my credit file.

not unless it is untrue

it won't hurt your score realistically if it is 1 missed payment out of everything on your report

you can ask for a noc to be put on the event (notice of circumstances). but the event stays on for 6 yrs.

It will drop off your credit file when Julys information for this year updates. Credit Files show the last 6 years information.

This is about all I have negative on my credit file. I haven't done anything about it because I assumed only a tiny proportion of Britons have a completely unblemished record, and that companies appreciate 1 late payment in 6 years over ~10 accounts could be due to the rigours of life, unexpected illnesses or admin cock-ups.
I could be completely wrong, but have never had any issues in getting credit.
