OK I want to control Bye Bye Standby with Amazons Alexa, but they are not compatible or so it seems?

There is a video on Youtube that shows how it can be done, with a Broadlink RM Pro. Andriod phone/tablet or android tv box with the Broadlink app installed, and a piece of software called RM Tasker Plug-in. Now with this setup it seems you can control any WiFi+IR+RF enabled devices. IR is line of sight of course, RF devices working on the 433MHz & 315 Mhz frequencies.

My question is: Is this a good setup OR is there an easy or better way of achieving the above?

Many thanks for any help given.
