sorry if it sounds like a daft question but not sure if you can get certain wall plugs for plastic so they hold well

Yes, thats what our wooden blinds are held into and they are very heavy.

Did you use self tapping screws on your previous experience and not ordinary ones ?

do not drill into the window itself as you could easily crack the glass. drill upwards into the recess to fit the brackets for the blind. try to leave enough space between your drill holes and the window for any lintels which may be above the window as these are a so and so to deal with.

Fix the brackets to the frames with pop rivets.

You fix blinds to the side walls or the roof of the window recess using screws/rawplugs

i used normal screws or at least the company who fitted them did and into the plastic and these was the 3 for 99 blinds the ones what drop down so was fairly light they didnt hold that well i used to have to put a piece of card at the back of the bracket to holdd them up abit, hated them though as they let alot of light in.

thanks everyone for all the input evrything is noted and with all this brilliant advice il have so nice blinds fitted properly this time:-)
