How do I price match between CEX and Game?

aaMasonaaMason

I'm looking to trade in a few games but CEX will give considerably more than Game. Unfortunately the game I want to buy is new so it isn't in CEX. How do I take advantage of Game's price matching? Do they match the cash price or exchange value?

Print out the page showing the CEX website offer for the game, do the game print outs individually though and then take it to Game they should accept it as they accept it for me. Although sometimes Game do reject to price match CEX on some games. I think they price match on trade-in only not cash but you get £1 more then what CEX offer for trade-in if they agree to beat it. If they reject it then just trade it into CEX.

I just printed them this for example if I use army of two:
    http://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=5030930110093&name=Army%20Of%20Two:%20The%20Devil's%20Cartel
They accepted this. Although I did it for Fifa 12 and need for speed most wanted so print out each individually as that worked for me just copy the link page but for your game.
For some reason I can't open your link it just shows up as about:blank.

My mistake using a screenshot instead of a link. It was a screenshot of my basket with all the prices, I think I'll go with your idea though, it seems safer as I know it has worked for you. Thanks for your help.

I don't really understand myself but they accepted it so I won't complain. They did ask questions but I just said call them and ask or look on their website so he did. Next thing I know deal was done.

Is there a CEX near you? as if there isn't one within like 10 miles I think they won't accept it. My one is like 400 metres away from the Game store so they didn't argue much. If you have a store near you then you should be fine as they just call them or check their website to confirm it.

Yeah, just around the corner. I think CEX position their stores tactically close to Game.

Yeah then you should be fine just take the print outs if they ask then say check their website or call the shop nearby and they shouldn't argue with that. As there is one near by then you should be fine. Although if your discs have slight scratches or case damage then you might get rejected as game will say the quality isn't good enough they are very tough on that. If you have a good phone or pad you could use that I guess to show them the prices on the CEX website if you don't want to print things out it should have the same effect.

Why waste paper and ink? Simply tell them or show them the price from cex on your phone. They will have to check themselves by using a pc/laptop or more than likely their own iphone.
Then reap the rewards with the extra £1 you gained
