So I want to buy the Nikon D3300 from Jessops which is priced at £309.99 but I saw last week that people were using Amex cards to buy from jessops, which I believe gives you £50 cashback after every £150 you spend? Is this true and valid? Also can someone explain the process to me. Would really appreciate this guys, thank you very much

Yes, sorry the deal has expired (as of 31/12/2016). You would have needed an Amex card with the offer showing in your account available for you to save before then spending online or in store. For every £150 you spent you'd get £50 cashback. In store they seemed quite happy to split transactions, e.g. if you were buying a £300 camera at your request they'd put it through the till as 2 x £150, so you'd gain the cashback on each transaction. The offer was multiple uses per card, so you could use the same card in that example and earn £100 cashback, rather than one transaction with the card of £300 and only earn £50 cashback.

I don't understand Amex offers. I have logged in to my account and nothing, no offers on my offers page.
I'm fairly new to Amex, but would have thought there would be some offers. Does it depend where I shop etc?

They are targeted offers, but some seem to apply to all cards. Is your card a personal card rather than business? How many billing cycles have you had the card for? There are some offers you can manually enrol yourself for, e.g. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/amex-avis-hilton-spend-100-get-20-cashback-2570037

Yes, it is a personal card and only in my second month. I'll try and look for the offers where I can manually enroll, but not seen many to be honest. Appreciate your help.

Hopefully you'll see some starting to appear within the coming months. I could also recommend you set some deal alerts in the mobile app if you use it for 'Amex' and 'American Express' and/or keep an eye on the Amex tagged deals here - http://www.hotukdeals.com/tag/amex
