The folks over at Trust Pilot have been leaving a lot of bad reviews. How is it for everyone on here?

That's a fair assessment, if not a bit kind to them

I've been with them for several months now and have no complaints. Reception in my specific area is better than O2, Vodafone and Orange (all of whom I've used in the past 12 years). My bills have been accurate so I've not had any cause to contact customer services. My experience has therefore been positive so far and a world away from the experiences of some reviewers. Obviously YMMV.

Link to iD Mobile on trust pilot:https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.idmobile.co.uk

Have a think of the hotukdealers favourite site everyone loves and trusts, John Lewis comes to mind then go on the review site and see if you can trust it.

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.johnlewis.com

Amazon gave a way a tenner yesterday for its amazing customer service but again look at the site. People only give poor reviews on review sites when something goes wrong.

One good way of checking on people's thoughts is to check past deals on here, it then gives you a balanced view of good and bad service. Things do go wrong that will happen.

I will give Id their dues, I decided not to go through with them after signing up, they were quick on the phone and did the refund quickly and staff were very pleasant. Recently went with plusnet took 2 webchats of 40 minutes each and 3 calls over 45 minutes each to cancel.

Id also seem to be active on here which is another good sign. In the end read up from them, take review sites with a pinch of salt and make a decision on what you know but check other phone companies as many have similar stories. I am not with id, and none of my family are so can't give an opinion other than what I have wrote.

I've been with them a while now since cancelling my note 7 order with Vodafone last year
can't fault them at all, which is more than can be said of Vodafone, it's taken me almost 4 months to get my money back I paid for the note 7.
ID mobile have been great and I'm about to switch my other half over to them as well from Vodafone next month.
couldn't be happier with the service and value

I cannot tell you how good or bad they are - they wont let me have a SIM.

Apparently, I fail "internal security checks"; not that they will actually TALK to me, and explain what that means.

I would ignore Trustpilot scores if I were you. People generally only leave reviews on there if they have had a bad experience. Customers who have had a good experience aren't likely to go out of their way to leave a review.

I certainly wouldn't be bothered to leave a review of EE (my network provider) just because everything has generally been ok, however, I would leave a negative review if something went wrong during my contract.

My partner had it for just over a year and decided to pay off the rest of the contract and leave them. Especially when we were traveling abroad she couldn't use the phone unless on WiFi. She took on the 3 offer for Christmas, has unlimited data and pays less. And especially she is happy to use her phone abroad with "feel at home". We were in the US and didn't pay an extra penny. My advice is don't go there.

It's the nature of the service as well. It's impossible for it to be better than expected, because when you pay for a phone service you expect decent reception wherever you are, good speeds, to be charged the correct amount each month, etc. A hotel or restaurant can go above and beyond and provide excellent service that you might want to tell others about, but phones, internet etc. can't suddenly give you gigabit download speeds or something.

been with them over a year as are all my family. Very good

Going for the cheapest best thing mate.

Decent deals, decent reception, Customer Service invisible and impossible to upgrade your package.

If you go over your data limit it is very expensive. So keep an eye on that.

Service wise I have never had any issues and I'm with them over 1 year.

What about customer services?

Im paying £10 a month
30 day contract
500 mins, 4gb data
Im happy at that
coverage hasnt been as great for me using the three hop, as voda and o2 experience
there are places I cant get signal indoors or even outdoor in the midlands where others can
other than that no real issues

Frankly all communications companies are just as bad at communicating when it comes to customer care - only EE on the mobile dont outsource staff, when you call their complaints team they sort it, I dont even call back a second time to request something from customer services at EE, if it is not done I call complaints and it is done - they hold power in that team.

Did u find any differnce in how quickly the data gets used up a friend of mine said he felt the data gets used up quicker than other providers he has used vectone and giff gaff before and felt. the data was probably around 700mb instead of 1GB.

VERY

It is not as if I am an illegal immigrant with no credit history, living on the streets and dealing drugs.

It was the fact they refused to respond to any attempt to find out what was wrong that really hacked me off; I suspect they have an extremely old, inaccurate database entry claiming I am a drug dealer (it was a neighbour) for years it came up as my property - in his name; Experian refused to remove it as it wasnt in my name, but it kept coming up on credit searches in my name!!.

Only needed them once to change a pin code or something like that. Didn't have any issues.

No issues with data usage. All seems fine.

If you have a 'shockproof' deal you can set a limit - mine doesn't let me go over my allowance by more than £5. I get texts as well, saying how much of my allowance I have left. This can be misleading though - I get 4GB data but think this is doubled up from 2GB for a year - so my texts say I've used up most of my allowance when I'm close to 2GB.

I also have a Mifi deal but this doesn't let you set a limit, so I have to watch this more carefully as I made the mistake of going over my limit once, although luckily I was only about a fiver over when I realised. I bought an add on the next time I was close to my limit.

Yes, thanks for the info. I'm have a data only sim, so I'm not on shockproof.

Good info though 8)
