I can't seem to "port forward" on the Netgear D7000. I have set up the ports for my CCTV system but when I use "whatsmyip.org" to check the ports it says "timed-out". I have contacted the company that set up the cctv system and even they could not seem to open the ports needed.

Any help?

Thats what I followed. I have set the port forwarding up but the ports still are closed.

Not too sure what to suggest then. Have you tried looking for a firmware update for your router? I've never had the issue before of opening ports and them being closed personally.

Yep already I have updated to the latest firmware.

Factory reset then and try again maybe.

Did you disable the routers firewall by any chance? Enable it.
