Does the seller have good feedback?

Can you meet in person?

Can you pay by PayPal? Bank transfer is not safe for the buyer.

They are all untrustworthy bandits! Heard some dark, dark shizzle about that site. Needs banning.

Are you referring to the
Smartfone site ? Site seems decent but what have you heard?

Short answer, it isn't safe. You're relying on the honesty and integrity of a complete stranger without the protection that eBay gives you - HUKD doesn't give a flying one. Pay with Paypal (NOT Paypal gift) and if you're scammed you should get your money back.

Haha, whilst there may be some people out there to scan (like Gumtree), there are plenty like myself who aren't.

Read the rules, go with your nose and take/don't take the risk.

Scam not scan lol

The problem is you don't know in advance who is or isn't. I bought from a 7+ year member, paid £11 for next day by 1pm guaranteed delivery and a week later he still hadn't posted it and he stopped communicating. I got my money back from Paypal but I wanted the item and I don't have it and I had a lot of hassle and unpleasantness. And HUKD don't get involved. HUKD isn't a nice cuddly community of honest upstanding citizens. It has the same cheats and scammers as the real world so don't assume it will all be plain sailing. Follow the trading rules, pay with Paypal (not gift) and if it goes bad you should get your money back.

Length of membership means nothing to me. Feedback plays a huge part here. Those with anything over 20/30 have nothing to prove really. Those below I'm still wary of. Even then; pay how you see fit, think about how much you could lose, send Recorded if over £20, get right level of cover.

If someone has no feedback, they'd be naive to not post first if asked as no trust would be built. Those giving the 'I've been scammed before' to someone with over 100 feedback (which I saw last week) does no favours.

Well said I've been a member on here for years now give never sold a bean but have a sealed iPhone 6 128 gb unlocked iPhone 6 for sale am i wasting my time in listing or should i just sell it on Gumtree cash on collection or put in on my Ebay which i am reluctant to do due to the 65,00 fees that i will be charged but i agree paypal is the only option as Scammers use bank transfer .

You'll get low balled on here and Gumtree.
GT; cash on collection is always easiest. No comeback if it goes wrong, if you include a receipt then you'll be giving a good selling experience. However, you could get mugged.
Here; probably have to send first/requested to (at least you'll have an address where it is going) and always a risk due to no protection and you'll need to send Special Delivery.

And who is to say you're not on the scam? ;)

I'm always cautious and set a loss limit for myself but I've enough feedback now to not warrant people coming at me silly, plus I'd take all the precautions. I sent someone £92 via bank transfer for £100 of Amazon vouchers. Had 90 odd feedback. Arrived in a few minutes after payment. But I agree, done are out there to scam.

You should sell it on here Cash on Collection only. No exceptions.

Games/Blu-Rays are safe to sell on here, but I wouldn't go with electrical items unless the seller has over 50 feedback. Make sure you read the feedbacks given.

Tommy the 1st question I would ask you is it a new contract phone, or is it a payg with receipt. If it was contract then it wouldn't matter to me if your feedback was a 100% over a 100 deals. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Seen to many folk get scammed a month or so after buying contract phones. With the handsets becoming blocked due to being reported lost or stolen or 6 months down the line when they stop paying their bills. But if it is genuine with receipt with pictures to prove, and a cash meet at your address then I can't see their being any problems.

Games/Blu-Rays are safe to sell on here,

There is no difference buying/selling different categories of goods on here. There is no protection other than any provided by your payment method.
