So I have a BT Hub 3 and recently it's been getting to the point of becoming useless and won't connect with multiple devices (or work with no devices and just my Nintendo Switch trying to do online multiplayer). I heard you can get free BT Hub upgrades. How do I go about this? Right now I'm having to use data because it just doesn't work

If you're in contract with them you'll get a free replacement if your HH3 is faulty, you'll get a HH5 or Smart Hub as the replacement or speak with their retention team and see what offers they have that include a hub.
Another option is take a larger discount and pay £65 for the Smart Hub, what ever works out best for you.

You wouldn't get a smart hub as a direct replacement for a faulty HH3. If you have adsl broadband you would get a HH4, if you have fibre broadband you would get a HH5. As PKRitchie states you can also purchase the smart hub at a reduced price if that is what you are after, or upgrade to fibre (if you haven't already) to get the smart hub as part of the deal.

I'd rather not pay unless I have no other alternative. Paying for a contract is enough.

Think I have fibre. What I have now was part of a retentions deal a few years ago so not sure

You could just purchase the router. I just sold my old bt router on gumtree so worth a look I also purchased a Skyq hub for a fiver to upgrade my sky connection

A couple of weeks ago I called up BT because I was having horrendous wireless connection issues. I had to make a big song and dance but they eventually said they would upgrade my hh3 to hh5, free of charge. It's been brilliant ever since. So just call and call with connection issues and you'll get it. :D;)
