Hi, I am looking for an LCD TV around 42"
Has anyone seen any decent deals around?
Would help if it's 1080p & has built in freeview
My budget is around £500-£600
Thanks :)

It's not an LCD but a plasma a very good one check out thr reviews here is the link
Good luck
i got the th42px80b plasma from currys/dixons and imust say its great ..........its not 1080p but you will only see the differce if watching blueray dvds.....so if you have sky hd or ps3/xbox this tv looks great.......
john lewis and richer sound was doing them aswell so you will need to check stock and codes to find the best deal...but this tv it justed great............i did order the lg 42 deal that was on here but when i went to look at it .it diddnt do it for me.i think plasma look better but that my choice..........and i dont have blueray justed xbox 360 and that looks brilllllll..................
Consider this, it's Plasma and not 1080p but this is a great tv and value for money. I own LCD's but if I needed a 42" this is the one I'd buy right now.

like we all say this tv is greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
I think you can go instore to Richer Sounds and buy this tv with speakers, stand and 5 year waranty for £499.
That has to be a bargain. I am thinking about it.
this may be a total noob question, but is plasma better quality than LCD in 42" screen? I have been looking at LCDs, specificaly the Sony Bravia KDL40V4000 LCD HD 1080p Contrast ratio 30,000:1 with 5yr Guarentee at John Lewis - waiting for it drop from £599, heard it was £499 for a short while.

Which is best the Sony or the panasonic?
