i phone 3g or 4g?

booked an appointment today at phones 4 you on Thursday to get the new I phone 4g but was wondering what peoples feelings were on wether to actually go for this phone or the 3g
I was told by the sales assistant was that the only difference was a flash on the camera and HD recording but the phone is a bit thicker and more Square in shape than the 3g.

I can definately have the 3g 32gb as an upgrade but will have to pay £30 for the 4g which im guessing would be 16gb as they do not know if they will be having the 32gb in on launch day yet.

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

it's a personal preference, i have the white 3gs 32gb and love it, but i am going for the 4g white 32gb when i'm able to order it!
I'd pay the £29 for the new phone.... it has the face to face thing that if you phone another 4g, you can see each other!! apparently the first phone to have it!!!!

So for 30 quid you can see somebody's face? look up it's cheaper.

it's like version 1,2,3,4
as technology grows, the phone develops, 3g is quicker when on the web, i'm sure 4g is quicker

If you have cash to throw away then go for it but it would be hard to justify that sort of money for a couple of extra features

the person might not be there (certainly i'd hope not if you were phoning them) just a gadget app, if you're into gadgets which some of us are!

for £29 you can have the latest model, it will sell for more at the end up, the 3gs will only depreciate in price so a no brainer for me

LOL I had some phones on 3, 7 or 8 years ago that had this feature! It was rubbish as I only had 2 friends with similar phones, but as they gave me 100 free video calls it did mean I could call these two friends for free when my allowance ran out!

Also seriously why would you purchase the outdated phone, unless it is £150-£200 cheaper get the new version, as your residules will be much better for it. If you want a 3GS you will find that second hand ones will start to go cheaper

I agree it's a pointless feature as was demonstrated by the poor take up it got in the past and I was disappointed Apple based their 4g phone around something like this that no one really wants/uses.
