a 9 year old with an iPod ..... :?

dvd boxsets? there are some good deals on at the moment.
Or, how about an mp3 player pre-loaded with some audiobooks to get her into some literature?
Failing all that, there's always a trip to the Disney Store on her birthday - tell her she's got a certain budget and watch her eyes light up as she starts doing some maths to work out exactly how much she can get!
All very educational :)

Good suggestions.

She already has a bratz mp3 player. Cd player and karaoke. She does love to sing!
My mum is getting her a trampoline for her bday and xmas prezzie- originally my idea!!
I wont get her a wii as my mum left hers here for about a month and she only played on it twice!!
She loves stardust an enchanted but i rent them from the library as she go tons and moans that she hasnt go tanything new to watch (plus if she dont behave he dont get one, incentive to a quiet life)

She loves to make things and really into earth and science, she collects fossils and rocks and has tons of books. also hannah montana and high school musical i was thinking aout a handheld dvd player?
Oh she also has a bike, hpe im not missing out anyones suggesions

Best gift you can give to a child is your time.
A really good day trip or something with small purchases to serve as a reminder?

well said..is HSM on stage still about?

Theme park, that's what we do every year, take their frends. My kids remember every one which is great, there is usually a milestone at each one. First upside down ride etc.

new bike and some of those interactive dvd games you all play together like family fortunes

Im getting a kitten in a few weeks when it is ready to leave mother......should of waited and surprised her....Good idea though.

High school musical tickets is a brilliant idea :) Her birthday is on a weekday after school, she wants to go down to local indoor play centre so will probably visit there after school anyway.

If you live anywhere near the Trafford Centre in Manchester take her and some friends to The Chill Factor:
