Ive had a 32" Samsung and delighted with it, i used to complain and be picky about it but then over xmas i bout the 42" LG and although it is fine its really not a spec on the samsung. If you are a costco member buy your telly from costco, otherwise membership is under £30 (correct me if im wrong) but most professional occupations and traders can join. The beauty about costco is that they offer a free 5 year warranty with your telly and the beauty of their warranty is that they dont replace your telly, they just refund you the full amount, so if your telly breaks down 3 years down the line you would get back the full amount you paid for the telly 3 years, meaning that you could spend that money on a bigget better telly in the future assuming tv prices fall, as they do.
i have a 40 inch Samsung 5 series and it is the most amazing thing ever for film and xbox 360, for £800 you could easilt get the TV and a blu-ray player!!
Of the 2 tellys, you list I'd go for the Sony (and imho, it beats the pants off the Samsung 6 series tv's for image quality, sound and motion handling).

But you could also look at the Pioneer:
i think im gonna go for the Pioneer looks like its the best 32" tele out there by far

Cheers guys
