IMO car wash

Hi,
I can't seem to find prices online for each type of wash, or any prices at all (some voucher prices for a fleet of cars, car hire firms).

Does anyone know the breakdown of each service and the cost?

I was hoping to get my car cleaned/waxed and vacuumed.

Thanks.

I'd avoid IMO or auto car washes if I were you. Find a hand car wash and negotiate a fleet rate with them. Near me (Bolton) a mini-valet (wash, wax, dry, cleaned inside, vacuumed, windows etc) is £10 at around 5 different car washes.
Just my opinion but it is better for the old paintwork.

They are all on different price structures.

My local hand car wash seemed great, but they only dip the sponge in the soap once for the whole car, which means all the dirt is being rubbed over your car, secondly I have caught them spraying alloy cleaner all over my car numerous occasions, which means the clearcoat is being ruined. IMO are fine, I have had no issues, and if you are worried, wash it yourself!

Ah right. The one I go to is fab, they use Autoglym trade stuff and really do a good job. I used to do a bit of hobby detailling (back when I had time!) so I do keep an eye on them and have never come away disappointed.

Yes I agree with Momartin. .. I live in Wigan not far from Bolton and there is as many car washes as kebab shops around here. Most are very good and only charge £10 per car in and out. Some even have a loyalty card where you get 1 free after 5 washes.

or hire a school leaver and train them up. It's a good time now

I'm in London so there are car wash places at each corner.

The drivethrough ones do ruin paintwork as i've experienced as well as the hand car wash places using a dirty water/sponge and no soap either, at times.

Might just pull my finger out indeed and get on with it. Need to spot good deals on cleaners and wax to make it worth doing and cost effective.
