Hi all,

Looking to purchase a standalone wifi camera with pan/tilt to put onto the ceiling of my living room to check in on my dog whilst I'm out, at work etc. Would need it to connect to an app on my phone so I can view from there.

Any recommendations??

I like my clever dog camera does the job for seeing what's going on at home

Why do you need to check up on your dog??
What can you do if your dog has crapped on the floor or eaten the sofa, you're out or at work!!
Seems pointless.

Dogs are pack animals. They should not be left alone for more than a couple of hours.

I don't need to check up on him, he's a well behaved dog. It's more for piece of mind as there's been a few houses that have been broken into in our area.

I appreciate the concern but I don't need a lecture on how to raise my dog. He's never left for more than 3/4 hours at any given time and is probably the most spoilt dog around! All I'm asking for is camera recommendations.

I have a Foscam. You can control it remotely via mobile phone and it will take 6 photos if it detects movement and sends to email (some send video). You don't have to have this feature enabled though. You can just watch the video all day if you want....depending on data plan!

you are wrong there as my vet tells me you need to leave your dog on its own for a 3/4 hrs as it gets use to been on its own and it relaxes more do to the quietness as when you are at home and it is trying to sleep it constantly wakes when it hears noise or movement

"You are wrong", that's a very definitive statement. Perhaps you should read some books on the subject but judging by your illiteracy, you probably wouldn't understand.
