I currently have a 73gb hard drive in my PC at the moment and am looking to buy another hard drive between 160gb and 250gb depending on the price offered.
My PC is 4 years old now and would it only be compatible with IDE Hard Drives rather than SATAII Hard Drives.

I am looking to pay around £40. Does anyone know of a reasonable price to get one?

Thanks in advance.

Yes that sounds good schizoboy...my advice is to try to see if it's cheaper anywhere else on Kelkoo.

Just a word of warning..from my experience of a 300 gb same model I would prefer to go for a Samsung or Seagate..I find the Maxtor very noisy in comparison.

Take a look at this one....it's about par for the course on price but with 3% quidco it does help offset some of the postage.

That makes it 53.78 if you include delivery and quidco.
Not bad considering its a top maufacture like Samsung

i am looking for an internal SATA hard drive, found this on DABS
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=42QD&CategorySelectedId=11154&PageMode=1&NavigationKey=11154,40970000,47240000,42240000,12&v=2#infoarea

it says 70.50 including VAT and obviously there will be some delivery charges, so this is going to become 76£ or so. I am looking for a similar or closely matched drive (Dont want IBM/HITACHI). I wonder if a wizard find something cheaper than that.

Cheers

take a look here..I can recommend the Samsung..they are so quiet and my two have been extremely reliable...as you say stay clear of IBM/hitachi deathstars.
